Hello!!! It is a RARE moment here at the Doty home to have a few quiet minutes in the morning.
It's difficult to make a phone call, let along write a blog post with an infant and a toddler underfoot. Sadly, Sam and David are sick, and I have been up most of the night with Sam. Gratefully, sweet Laura is still sleeping. It is nearly 8:30 and she never sleeps this late, though. Makes me wonder if she is coming down with a cold as well. Germs, be gone from our home!!!
I think about this blog nearly every day and I really miss updating the details of our growing family. Let me know if you still check the blog! I'd love to know if anyone would be interested in reading future posts about the happenings around here.
So much has changed since my last post. Wow! Our sweet baby boy, Sam, is nearly 5 months old. He is an amazing little guy... perfectly content and all smiles. He has the sweeetest, roundest, cuddliest features I have ever seen. Even during this sickness, he has been perfectly content. He's still not sleeping really well at night, but I can't complain. He is a happy guy and naps fairly well during the day.
Big sister Laura is growing up!!! She is amazing. I mean AMAZING! She is so much fun. At 21 months, she can carry on a conversation. She has been talking since she was 9 months old and her verbal skills are so advanced it's funny. She loves Mexican food, Thomas the train, the Wiggles, stories about Noah, jumping, playing outside, and going to church.... and cookies!!!
She adores Sam and greets him with a big smile every morning. She says, "Samuel's awake! Good morning, Samuel David. How are you?" She is hysterical and keeps us laughing everyday.
I'll do my best to post some pictures as soon as I download them onto the computer. Please pray that God rids our home of these yucky germs so that we can enjoy the lovely weather here. Thanks for checking in!
